Recipe Contest Winners


Prosciutto and Tarragon Mussels placed first in our national recipe contest. After casting a wide net for entries with news articles and ads all over the United States, and with an invitation to enter the contest printed on half a million retail bags of mussels that we shipped this summer, the search ended with an entry from nearby Bangor, Maine. The winner, Rosemary Connors, will receive a Windjammer cruise on a Maine schooner (valued at $2,200) as first prize.

In addition to "Prosciutto and Tarragon Mussels," the final cook-off treated company employees to the four other finalist recipes: Lettuce Wrapped Hoisin-Glazed Mussels, Margarita Mussels, Pan Roasted Mussels With Red Curry, White Wine and Smoked Bacon and Roasted Garlic Mussels in Andouille Lager Broth.
