Barbecued Mussels with Spicy Dip
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. mussels
1 12-oz. jar prepared salsa, taco sauce, or hot pepper sauce
Charcoal grill with top to cover (Webber or Coleman style)


INSTRUCTIONS:
Place mussels on grill in one even layer, about 4 inches above medium hot coals. Cover the grill and cook for 5 minutes. To avoid overcooking, remove mussels from heat when shells are open and the meat pulls away from the shell. Discard any which do not open. Place the mussels in a large bowl and serve with sauce on the side for dipping.

Serves 4 as an appetizer
